Met Gala 2019 – Jewelry Made a Splash
With the Met Gala being the biggest event on the Fashion Calendar, and the attending fee being $30,000 per person (NO BIG DEAL!), there’s bound to be some Jaw-Dropping Jewels on the Pink Carpet.
Now that we’ve had time to pick our Jaws up off the floor, let’s talk about our favorite looks of the night. Our favorites were seen wearing Jewels from some of our favorite Designers including Tiffany & Co., Lorraine Schwartz, and Harry Winston.
The Stars Who Stood Out
Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid showed up to the Ball in a pair of dazzling earrings made with 90 Carats of Colombian Emeralds and Diamonds. She paired it with a 40 Carat Emerald ring; both pieces designed by Lorraine Schwartz.
The real Show-Stoppers were her beautiful Jewel encrusted black cut-out dress, and matching gloves. Fashion Designer Moschino created both the dress and gloves using several Gem Stones and Silver Embellishments.
Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez stacked on Rings, Bracelets, and Earrings totaling over 150 combined Carats. But nothing compared to her Harry Winston Necklace; which held a 65.32 Carat Purple Sapphire surrounded by brilliant round, pear, and marquise shaped diamonds.
Purple Sapphires are considered Rare & Regal, as they are one of the most sought-after colored Sapphires there are. Ms. Lopez is one lucky lady in our book!
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga mesmerized us by wearing nearly 2 MILLION DOLLARS in Diamonds, Gold, and Platinum. Like the Rockstar she is, she rocked a 15 Carat Tiffany & Co. Diamond Ring (swoon!). This diamond ring alone was valued at an estimated $1,165,000.
We can’t forget about the solid 18k gold Tiffany & Co. Butterfly Necklace, dressed in glowing diamonds. The estimated 2 Million Dollars in Jewels worn by Lady Gaga does not include this Necklace, as it is so valuable that Tiffany & Co. states the price is only “available upon request”.
