A Professional Pearl Restringing

On this edition of the Before & After Series, we have a pearl necklace that was broken, terribly filthy and knotted in between pearls, and required a professional cleaning and restringing.

For this repair we had to:

  • Provide new french wires
  • Restring the necklace with silk
  • Refinish the clasp

It is then all wrapped up with a Clean and Polish and it’s good to go! If you would like to know how to keep your pearl necklace clean at home, read more in our necklace cleaning blog.

    • Hello! We believe the pearls should be okay due to the nylon wrapped around the wire. Our expert jeweler who specializes in pearl restringing would need to physically review the pearls to determine how thick it is and how exactly it is wrapped around the pearl. We would be more than happy to evaluate it and let you know. At My Jewelry Repair the evaluations are free and we also have an option for free shipping. Have a great day!
