Welcome back to another Before & After blog spotlight! This repair is a bit different, and you’ll learn why as we explain further into the blog. Regardless, we got this vintage Omega watch to the customer’s liking in the end!
The owner had sent in this vintage watch solely for dial restoration. That’s it—just a dial restoration! Sounds quite simple, right? However, what this entails is a lot more than just refinishing the dial, and that’s what makes our services the premier standard.
For this vintage Omega timepiece repair, we had to:
- Perform our standard and free professional evaluation by our expert technicians after noting the repair requests of the customer
- As you may have already known, although we are an online jewelry and watch repair company, we only provide evaluations when our skilled craftsmen can physically asses the items in person at our secure facility
- Our team assessed that due to the age and condition of this timepiece, spare part availability and water resistance couldn’t be guaranteed
- Professionally disassemble the timepiece in our Watch Repair Service Center
- Send over the dial to our partner Kirk Rich Dial for dial refinishing
- Properly reassemble the timepiece by a Certified Watchmaker
- Monitor and evaluate the piece’s performance
And voilà! This vintage Omega timepiece’s dial was restored to its pristine condition as requested by the owner of the watch.
So how was this restoration different from the rest? We wanted to show you that although this customer could have asked for many other services, they only opted to go with one service—a dial refinishing.
