Ring Sizing is a practice many people need but one they are most often quite unsure of. It is a cosmetic part of the ring repair process. Did you know that rings are sold in a common size by the majority of retailers? If you didn’t know that most rings come in a stock size 7 for the ladies and a size 10 for the fellas, then that’s okay. Just send your rings that don’t fit to MyJewelryRepair.com.
Not A Perfect Size 7 or 10, Not to Worry!
If you’re one of us who aren’t a perfect size 7 or 10, then it’s likely you’ll need to have your ring resized. It's also not terribly uncommon for people to fluctuate sizes. Some people even like to wear a particular ring on a different finger. Therefore, from time to time, you may need a ring sized up or down. Whatever your reasons are, My Jewelry Repair ring resizing and sizing services are here to make your rings shine and fit like a glove.

Ring Sizing Up
When sizing a ring up, a new piece of metal must be added. This will require the new piece to be soldered to the existing one, and it is very important to get a perfect bond. We use the highest quality joint pieces that get the perfect fit every time. As a result we achieve the perfect bond without leaving any visible soldering lines. Seamless ring sizing. The method of using precut pieces eliminates thin shanks, and also greatly reduces porosity in the metal and produces an overall better final product.
Ring Sizing Down
Sizing a ring down is similar to sizing up. When a ring is made smaller, our master jeweler cut out the appropriate amount of metal from the bottom of the ring shank with dexterity, then join and solder the piece back together.
If your ring contains gemstones, we take special care by removing those gemstones and resetting them after the ring sizing process. This is because the normal ring sizing process introduces heat to the metal that can potentially damage some gemstones. Because of this we use induction welders that focus the heat only where needed, and therefore the gemstones are protected. This means that no damage occurs.
We use other special tooling like laser welders when working with special materials like Platinum. We use the best tools for working on high melting point metals. When we size your ring, we make sure that the new section is just as strong as the original. We make sure that your ring shines like the first day you bought and comes in at a fit better than you’ve ever felt.
