An Invisible Setting Repair with a Diamond and Ruby Ring
On this edition of the Before & After Series, we have an invisibly set silver diamond ring with accent rubies.
One of the diamonds fell out of the setting, however the owner still had the diamond to reset.
For this repair, we had to:
- Repair the setting for the loose diamond
- Provide an Invisible Setting Service to reset the stone
- Finish off with a Rhodium Clean & Polish
This type of setting is very tricky to work on and require a Master Jeweler’s touch. They happen to be one of the rarest and most intricate setting techniques known to jewelry. This involves the process of setting stones side-by-side, hiding the metalwork underneath, which can give the appearance of a larger stone.
