Timepieces Have Their Biggest Hits At The Grammys

Watches were a hit at the Grammys, with the top three belonging to Trevor Noah, Jay-Z, and Kendrick Lamar.

The look was capped off with a solid 14kt white gold manicure that was estimated to have cost around $30,000 each. The stiletto nail tips were 3D scanned by Jillian Sassone to create custom molds that were filled with 14-karat white gold, then polished and shined before arranging and adhering 15 white diamonds into the shape of a cross on each tip.

Taylor’s Earrings Steals The Show

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift “made the whole place shimmer” at the Grammys on Sunday night, rocking a heavy set of Lorraine Schwartz jewels that boasted over 136 carats of natural purple sapphires, paraibas, and diamonds, which were soon to be auctioned for close to $3 million.

However, Sandra Oh broke the mold and confidently pulled it off, leaving no doubt that orange is, indeed, her color.

The Exquisite Emeralds

Besides the snake-themed trend that was apparent on the red carpet this year, there was also a notable amount of large emeralds that were being worn.

Chinese actress Fan BingBing had noticeable large drop earrings also with 85-carats worth of emeralds to match her dress. Gucci also was included in the emerald trend with Jessica Chastain wearing their stunning emerald and diamond necklace.

A Few Watches Also Stood Out

Although there was a multitude of timepieces showcased at the event, many opted for a more traditional and understated aesthetic.

Nevertheless, a handful of attendees made daring fashion statements by selecting more striking pieces.

The ever-elegant Idris Elba donned a Gucci G-Timeless Planetarium, cementing his status as one of the most stylish men on the planet.
