Rebuilding a Prong Setting for a Diamond Ring
On this edition of the Before & After Series, we spotlight a ring with diamonds set in the band and the beautiful milgrain trim, as well as a bezel set ruby, but the princess cut diamond center stone fell out.
The customer had supplied a replacement diamond, but unfortunately it was too large for the setting. So for this repair we had to rebuild each prong to create a new setting to fit the stone appropriately. Then we set the stone, and finished with a detailed clean and polish.
