A Rare Collector’s Watch Restoration
On this edition of the Before & After Series, we have an Invicta Reserve Subaqua Automatic Polyurethane 0640 model. This watch had a scratched case, worn band, chipped crystal, damaged stem and crown, and required a clean and overhaul.
The most difficult part of this watch restoration project was sourcing the parts, as this is an older and collector’s model, but our sourcing team was able to get all of the authentic parts.
For this watch restoration, we had to:
- Perform an interior cleaning
- Adjust all of the timepiece parts
- Replace worn interior parts (reverser wheel, mainspring, gasket)
- Provide a new stem & crown
- Set a new crystal with a crystal replacement services
- Finish off with an exterior cleaning
It should be noted that this was only possible because of the precision and steady hands of our Certified Watchmakers.
