A Vintage Bulova Timepiece Restoration
On this edition of the Before & After series, we have a vintage Bulova timepiece from the 1950’s that came to us with pieces detached and loose. The case back in particular had corrosion and was not salvageable.
This isn’t the first time we’ve received watch parts like this one, especially when it comes to vintage restorations. But no matter, as our Certified Watchmakers have everything they need to evaluate and restore vintage pieces. With our history and network within the industry, we’re able to source out rare and vintage parts with our best efforts possible.
For this watch repair, we had to:
- Source rare parts (vintage mainspring and case back)
- Engrave new case back to match previous version exactly
- Perform a full clean, overhaul, and adjustment of the movement
- Monitor the timepiece to make sure it is properly functioning
It is then wrapped up with our complimentary WOSTEP-Certified Clean & Polishing service.
We make sure that our Certified Watchmakers at our Watch Repair Service Center have the proper certifications before working on your precious timepieces. Our Team of experienced Watchmakers have many Watch Repair Certifications, some of the major ones including:
