Professionally Resizing This Chocolate Diamond Ring
Welcome back to another Before & After blog spotlight! We received this LeVian chocolate diamond 14ky ring for a simple service: resizing. However, the owner of the ring had to approve an unexpected repair, which was to completely replace the ring’s shank.
The original shank of the ring was so worn thin, that we had to replace it before sizing it up to the owner’s requested size. But there was no reason to worry as worn down shanks are more common than you think!
The Details of This Diamond Ring Repair
For this diamond ring repair, we had to:
- Perform our standard and free professional evaluation by our expert technicians after noting the repair requests of the customer
- As you may have already known, although we are an online jewelry and watch repair company, we only provide evaluations when our skilled craftsmen can physically assess the items in person at our secure facility
- Remove the entirety of the worn-down shank
- Provide a new shank of the same metal and solder the ring together
- Tighten all the diamond stones that may have been loosened during the repair process
- Provide a complimentary professional clean & polish
And voilà! This diamond ring was back in pristine condition, being a half size bigger as requested.
