The Repair Details of This Diamond Engagement Ring & Wedding Band Set
Welcome back to our Before & After blog spotlight series! For our first before & after of the new year, we’d like to spotlight this beautiful engagement ring and wedding band set!
We received this Marchesa 18KW set not only to be sized down from a 7 to a 6, but to have two of the diamonds replaced as they were chipped. Unfortunately, the customer did not have a Macy’s WorryNoMore protection plan for their jewelry pieces, but they did note that they wanted to purchase one from us going forward.
For this diamond ring set repair, we had to:
- Perform our standard and free professional evaluation after noting the repair requests of the customer
- As you may have already known, although we are an online jewelry and watch repair company, we only provide evaluations when our skilled craftsmen can physically asses the items in person at our secure facility
- Source out two new diamond gemstones
- Downsize both rings from a size 7 to 6
- Set the new diamonds and reset and tighten some loose gemstones
- Laser-engrave the band hallmarks that were affected by the sizing process
- Professional clean and polish the ring set
- Finish off with a rhodium electroplating
And voilà! This white gold diamond engagement ring and wedding band set was restored back to its pristine condition, sparkling even brighter than when it was sent to us.
