A White Gold Ring Double Diamond Replacement
On this edition of the Before & After series, we have a 10k white gold diamond ring that lost two of its side gemstones.
When we receive repairs such as this, it is most common that the side stones of these rings are in need of replacement and resetting, as it is more uncommon for the main stones to be missing.
For this ring repair, we had to:
- Source and supply a new diamond gemstone
- Set the new diamonds in their settings at the side of the ring
- Solder the breaks
- Retip the prongs
- Secure all the stones to make assure that none of the others get loose
- Reapply the metal stamp
It is then all wrapped up with our signature rhodium clean and polish and it’s good to go!
