Welcome back to another Before & After blog spotlight! This beautiful multi-colored gemstone ring was sent to us in worn condition, showing visible scratches from normal wear and tear. The owner had noted that it was a cherished mother’s ring, missing one diamond and one blue gemstone representing a December birthday.
Not only were there two missing gemstones, but there were also two broken stones that had suffered fractures over time. Each stone in this ring symbolized one of her children, making the restoration especially meaningful. Knowing how important this piece was to the wearer, our team treated the repair with the utmost care and attention. There was no issue at all for the restoration process, and our experienced team went to work!
The Details of This Gemstone Ring Repair
For this 14kt ring repair, we had to:
- Perform our standard and free professional evaluation by our expert technicians after noting the repair requests of the customer
- As you may have already known, although we are an online jewelry and watch repair company, we only provide evaluations when our skilled craftsmen can physically assess the items in person at our secure facility
- Source out four new gemstones, three of them being diamonds and one being the request blue topaz
- Rebuild the prong settings for extra security
- Reset the new gemstones
- Provide a professional clean and polish
And voilà! This Mother’s ring was restored to its pristine condition. Now, it can continue to shine proudly as a treasured symbol of family and love.
